Black Friday chaos as 13 Amazon sites across UK BLOCKED by Extinction Rebellion eco-warriors
EXTINCTION Rebellion campaigners have blocked Amazon depots in Black Friday protests.
The activists targeted all of the huge company's UK distribution centres.
The group posted footage of a sit-in at the site in Dartford, Kent.
Six activists were seen holding aloft a banner reading 'Black Friday exploits people and planet.'
Police are also tackling protests at an Amazon warehouse in Tilbury, Essex.
Essex Police tweeted: "We're dealing with a protest outside an Amazon warehouse in Windrush Road, Tilbury and engaging with people at the scene to ensure it remains safe.
"However, we expect the disruption to run into the morning rush hours and we're asking motorists to take some delays into account."
A distribution centre near Bristol has also been blocked since 4am.
Protesters have built bamboo towers at the site to completely block two access roads.
