About Me
In a multi award-winning career spanning four decades, Paul has become a world-respected authority on safer driving and driver safety/behaviour education. His extensive academic and practical qualifications, vast industry experience and expertise, have been widely acknowledged by his corporate and private clients, the media and industry peers.
Through his business Distraction999, Paul also provides 'patented software technology solutions' to eliminate Driver Distraction through phone use for fleets and insurers.
For many years, he has been recognised as the 'standard setter' in the global driver safety market, Paul was awarded the coveted 'HRH Prince Michael Special Road Safety Award' for his individual contributions to road and driver safety improvement.
Paul has the distinction of being called 'God's Chauffeur' by The Daily Telegraph, in which he wrote a
hugely popular weekly safer driving column for almost a decade. He was also known as 'The Driving Doctor' when he appeared as the driving safety guru on Channel 4 TV's 'Driven' programme along with TV stars Mike Brewer, Penny Mallory and Jason Barlow.
Paul authored the book 'Expert Driving' and has written countless articles for leading publications such as Auto Express, EVO Magazine, AA Magazine, Business Car Manager, Readers Digest and many more.
With the multi award winning proposition, The Driving Doctor® SaaS platform in 2018, he again pioneered a way of recognising the vast potential of telematics data acquisition, for a new digital ‘data driven’ approach to driver behaviour coaching. He also incorporated intelligent use the crucial ‘Human Factors’ to lower crash causation by utilising the attitudinal, behavioural and emotional aspects of safer driving.
