Timothy J. (Tim) Schenk

Director, Business Development

Tim Schenk is Director, Business Development at Fleet Group, Inc, with responsibility for marketing programs, brand management, and corporate sponsorships. Tim joined the Fleet Group team in 2008 and has grown into the role he has today by hard work and outstanding account management skills. Prior to joining Fleet Group, he worked for The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company (A&P) as an inventory control specialist. Tim’s strengths are his creativity, drive and leadership. He thrives on challenges, particularly those that expand the company’s reach. When starting out with Fleet Group, Tim studied the industry problem of the qualified mechanic and driver shortages.

He spent his time identifying opportunities by talking with industry leaders. He also consulted with mechanic and driver schools in the US looking for solutions. Tim was instrumental in the development of a niche Job Board and material for industry specific Job Fairs that were implemented and found to be helpful with this issue. After seeing his ideas take shape in several areas of the trucking industry, Tim changed his focus to sales and marketing.

Tim is constantly expanding his professional network and knows the importance of maintaining business relationships. He has built and maintains relationships with some of the industry’s largest and smallest trucking companies. Tim has been successful with providing opportunities by making them aware of the services and products at Fleet Group. Tim continues to look for issues in the trucking industry that he can help solve. Tim invests a lot of time learning and applying new techniques made available through the changing landscape of marketing in the trucking industry. Tim has achieved expert status in the emerging field of social media and digital networking.

Tim is a magna cum laude graduate of William Paterson University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management. He lives in New Jersey with his wife, their daughter and dog Zoey. In his free time, he has a passion for his community and when possible volunteers his time to help coaching and coordinating after school youth sports programs.
