With the implentation of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's Compliance, Safety, Accountability (CSA) program, commercial motor vehicle roadside inspections are more important than ever before. CSA evaluates the safety of individual motor carriers by considering all safety based roadside inspection violations, not just out-of-service violations, as well as state-reported crashes, using 24 months of performance data. Drivers, technicians and safety and maintenance supervisors all need to take a hands-on approach to fleet safety since all roadside inspection violations are factored into a carrier's safety rating.
This 5-hour training will not only cover roadside inspection violations, it will challenge attendees to recognize them with practical, hands-on experience during the training. By taking on the role of the inspector, attendees won't just think they understand violations, they will be certain they do. With instruction from a master technician and commercial vehicle enforcement inspectors, participants will know exactly how their vehicles will fare during a roadside inspection.
